For the love of Cookie

The process of bringing Cookie from KL to Miri was a rather long and tedious one that involved preparation and application permits that could not be done earlier then a month, and some even a week before the flight.

On the day of the flight itself, it took us 2.5 hours to clear through paperwork and kustoms. The whole process would have been a lot easier if the process was nicely laid out and we were informed of procedures earlier. For example, we were told that the MASKargo Animal Hotel was beside LCCT and within walking distance, when infact it was inside the MasKargo village, which is a pretty large place, and was definitely not within walking distance. We were also not told that in order to get into the Village you have to get a pass before hand, and only 2 people can enter, and that the 2 people had to wear proper clothes (ie: no shorts and slippers).

The overall process to get Cookie to Miri also cost us about RM200.

And even as of now, Cookie is still in quarantine. But only for another 12 days. So was it worth all that time, money, and effort, worry just to bring a pet rabbit to Miri? I would say yes, I hope Min Ser agrees : )
